MimeCircuit
This new way of looking at the festival also opens
the opportunity to fill the gap that appeared between
festivals. Until nnow, we had a week of mime and nothing
until the next year
at the start of 2003, halfway between two editions
of the festival we will introduce our brad new Mimecircuit.
We will promote performances of earlier festivals
, organise little tours around flanders, and again
we will work together with the interested cultural
centres.
In 2002 we can look forward to having a lot of different
promising new initiatives. This new mimejournal is
the a beginning...

After
5 years and more then 20 edtions of this belgium mimejournal,
it was time for a little change. We hope you will appriciate
our new design and find it more confortable to read.
The subscription fee didn't changed but with the introduction
of the euro we see our price changing from 500 Bef.
to 15 €
5th. MimeFestival 2001
In collaboration with 10 cultural centres, we presented
12 international artists and companies from Belgium,
Holland, France, England, Sweden, Spain, and Russia.
Unfortunately the audience did not meet up to our expectations.
The events of the 11th September, only three weeks before
the festival played an important part on the sad television
soap. "America Under Attack" was our biggest
spoil-sport. Nevertheless, 2500 visitors could convice
more than ever that mime is a facinating and variated
discipline.The old festival formule, with presentations
in different locations all over Flanders is, for now,
part of history. It was a useful formula to stimulate
the interest, but now, the Festival needs to concentrate
on one location only. Next year, all the show will take
place in the same theatre.
